Nov. 14, 2018Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Elliott, 70, of Nauvoo, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at her residence.The family will receive friends today, Nov. 17, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be today, Nov. 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Curry Cemetery. Nov. 12, 2018Mary Odell Wolfe, 89, of Dovertown, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018. She was born on Aug. 26, 1929, in Dovertown, Alabama, to Lemon and Marietta Gurganus and was one of their eight children. She went to school in Dovertown, and later Cordova, where she graduated high school. After marriage, she moved with her family to Commerce City, Colorado, for a time. During her lifetime, she raised five children, worked several jobs to help support her family, traveled to Israel, was very involved with church works, and frequently helped with the Indian Creek Youth Camp. She had a heart for service and invested her time in the people around her. The epitome of a virtuous woman, she was able to meekly serve at one moment and then feistily take charge the next. She was a member of the Dovertown Church of Christ and taught Bible classes there for many years. She was a faithful Christian woman whose good works and godly influence have impacted a countless number of people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemon and Marietta Gurganus; husband, Foster Wolfe; sisters, Rachel Gurganus Ware Tucker and Flora Gurganus Wolfe; and brothers, Hillard Gurganus, Floyd Gurganus, Elton Gurganus and Charles Gurganus. She is survived by her brother, L.T. Gurganus (JoAn); daughter, Rhonda Gurganus (Ricky); sons, Steve Stanford (Shirley), Kevin Stanford (Brenda), Randy Wolfe (Sandy) and Mitch Wolfe; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Dovertown Church of Christ, with burial at Dovertown Cemetery. Rob Gurganus will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church building.
